EXPECTATIONS

The burden of expectations between motherhood, career, and all of the other identities you wear in a day can be down right SOUL CRUSHING!

But what if you could find a way to face those expectations and put them in their place? Check on January’s post Careers, Motherhood, and the Burden of Expectations to find out more.

WELCOME!

Motherhood is a crazy journey in self-doubt and uncertainty. As a result, I find myself wishing ON THE REGULAR for a non-existent manual. In spite of this, I am convinced we can all be our own version of successful in not only motherhood, but also life. Additionally, it's WAY MORE FUN to do this motherhood thing surrounded by a supportive team. Therefore, let's enjoy the perfectly imperfect moments in The Mom Huddle!

Subscribe to share in the craziness of motherhood and feel part of a team. We definitely don't have all the answers. Even so, knowing someone else shares moments of mom guilt and has similar thoughts and feelings creates a community.

One of my favorite quotes is from Rachel Hollis in her book Girl, Wash Your Face.

There isn’t one right way to be a woman. There isn’t one right way to be a daughter, friend, boss, wife, mother, or whatever else you categorize yourself as. Instead, there are so many different versions of each and every style on this planet, and beauty lives in that dichotomy.

Did this resonate with you, too? I love it and feel it's truth. Grace for ourselves coupled with grace for others, we really can live our own version of successful. In fact, let's not just survive this motherhood journey. On the other hand, let's thrive in The Mom Huddle together.

Thank you for joining me. My hope is this brings you laughter in the crazy, connection in the lonely, and joy in the inexplicable.

GOALS AFTER 40, REALLY?

GOALS AFTER 40, REALLY?

MIDLIFE CRISIS Today I got on the elliptical and plugged in 4-1 for the last time as my age. Tomorrow marks the start of a new year on this planet for me. Another trip around the sun. I’m now approaching the “in my 40s” language, not the “I’m just 40 or 41.”...

THE INNER MEAN GIRL

INNER MEAN GIRL A portion of my job is to support people through mindset shifting. Admittedly, the irony is not lost on me that sometimes, I myself, need to simply LOOK IN A MIRROR and adopt this concept. Let’s talk about the things we say to ourselves. More...

LEARN IN LOSS

LEARN IN LOSS

WE CAN (AND SHOULD) LEARN IN LOSS My grandpa died recently as a young 92-year-old. Undoubtedly, he lived a FULL life. Even though his death was expected due to general decline over the last year, the actual occurrence of his death was still much harder than I...

A REALITY I NEVER KNEW

A REALITY I NEVER KNEW

I DID A THING Recently, I did a thing. This THING made me nervous and uncomfortable. BUT this was important. Consequently, it’s important for all of us. I made a promise recently and this promise was to LISTEN. What do I mean by this? I claim to not be a racist. I...
