WE ALL HAVE LABELS

To that end, all of 2021 we’re highlighting stories of women in The Mom Huddle discussing their labels beyond Woman & Mother. Welcome to the Woman, Mother… 2021 series.

WELCOME!

Motherhood is a crazy journey in self-doubt and uncertainty. As a result, I find myself wishing ON THE REGULAR for a non-existent manual. In spite of this, I am convinced we can all be our own version of successful in not only motherhood, but also life. Additionally, it's WAY MORE FUN to do this motherhood thing surrounded by a supportive team. Therefore, let's enjoy the perfectly imperfect moments in The Mom Huddle!

Subscribe to share in the craziness of motherhood and feel part of a team. We definitely don't have all the answers. Even so, knowing someone else shares moments of mom guilt and has similar thoughts and feelings creates a community.

One of my favorite quotes is from Rachel Hollis in her book Girl, Wash Your Face.

There isn’t one right way to be a woman. There isn’t one right way to be a daughter, friend, boss, wife, mother, or whatever else you categorize yourself as. Instead, there are so many different versions of each and every style on this planet, and beauty lives in that dichotomy.

Did this resonate with you, too? I love it and feel it's truth. Grace for ourselves coupled with grace for others, we really can live our own version of successful. In fact, let's not just survive this motherhood journey. On the other hand, let's thrive in The Mom Huddle together.

Thank you for joining me. My hope is this brings you laughter in the crazy, connection in the lonely, and joy in the inexplicable.

THE DEVIL IN COMPARISON

THE DEVIL IN COMPARISON

COMPARISON SHAME We’re all guilty of it. The “IT” I’m referring to? COMPARISON. You know, the evil thing we do to ourselves when we’re already in a down place. However, for some unknown reason our mind takes us FURTHER down by pulling out ONLY the good someone else...

IT COULD BE WORSE

IT COULD BE WORSE

BUT IT COULD ALSO BE BETTER.... First off, let’s talk about what is going on right now in the world? It could be worse, but it could also be better. I’m an extrovert through and through so this whole stay home thing is having more of an effect on me than I originally...

Meet My Co-Workers

Meet My Co-Workers

WHO ARE YOUR CO-WORKERS? I’m sure you have seen the hilarious challenges floating around on social media asking people to name something their kids or pets do as if they are co-workers. It’s pretty entertaining. Obviously, we are all searching for things to keep us...

Enjoying a Mandated Staycation

Enjoying a Mandated Staycation

HOW TO ENJOY A MANDATED STAYCATION It’s all in the mindset. “I hope you are enjoying the time at home with your family right now!” This is how I’m starting every email to clients, potential clients, friends, basically everyone right now. Why? Two reasons. First, a...

Hit The Pause Button

Hit The Pause Button

HIT THE PAUSE BUTTON Recently, it has really dawned on me how important it is to hit the pause button. Life is crazy busy and frankly, it doesn’t matter what stage your kids are in. The type of busy just evolves. While I talked about this a lot in The Sport of...
